Margate Parkrun - ''I Do''

OverRun turned out in force at Margate Parkrun on 25th July 2026 for a very special morning, celebrating our run leader Emily and club member Callum, who completed the parkrun before getting married later that day.
To mark the occasion, several OverRun members dressed up for the day with costumes ranging from a bride and groom, Pitbull, Forrest Gump, a chicken, Where’s Wally, Superman, a bank robber, a clown, an elf, and even Rick from Rick & Morty. It made for a brilliant sight along the promenade. Margate’s predominantly flat route and stunning coastal views provided the perfect backdrop, while the costumes got plenty of laughs from runners and volunteers.
A special mention to both Lee and Ash, who made the most of the sunny conditions by achieving a new Parkrun personal best. A further mention goes run leader Matt, who was the 25-minute pacer, with various pacers available on the last Saturday of every month.
To finish the morning in style, Emily and Callum crossed the finish line through a shower of confetti and a glass of 0% Prosecco before heading off to tie the knot.
